Strength Balance & Bone Health Classes in Winston Hills

This class is perfect for you if you want to:
- Get Stronger: Whether you’re looking to progress your current strength routine or start from scratch, this class is designed to help you regain and improve your strength. If you’ve noticed a decline in your strength or ability to perform everyday tasks, we’re here to help you reverse that.
- Improve Balance: If you’ve noticed you’re not as steady on your feet as you used to be or have had a recent fall, this class can help you regain stability and confidence.
- Boost Bone Health: As we age, bone mineral density decreases, which can lead to conditions like osteopenia or osteoporosis. This class includes exercises proven to improve bone density and reduce the risk of fractures.
What Does the Class Involve?
Each class runs for one hour and includes three key components:
- General Conditioning: Reformer-based exercises to improve overall fitness.
- Strength Training: Weightlifting to build and maintain muscle mass.
- Balance Training: Targeted exercises to enhance stability and balance.
- Every class is led by one of our experienced physiotherapists and is tailored to your fitness level and individual goals.
How to Get Started:
We want to ensure you’re set up for success, so we start with two one-on-one sessions with one of our physiotherapists. During these sessions, we’ll:
- Understand Your Goals: We’ll discuss what you want to achieve from the class.
- Establish Baselines: We’ll measure your strength, movement, and balance to track your progress.
- Teach Technique: You’ll learn how to use the reformer, the correct form for the weightlifting exercises, and how balance training fits into the class.
- Tailor Your Program: Based on your needs, we’ll adjust the class to suit your fitness level (e.g., selecting the appropriate weight for strength training or modifying balance exercises to match your ability).
- Answer Questions: We’ll address any questions or concerns you might have to ensure you’re confident moving forward.
